I built this cabin in 1992. It is 2 X 6 construction with T-111 siding on 3 sides and vinyl on one end wall. The eves have been covered with aluminum. It is approximately 22 feet wide by 28 feet long. 2 bedrooms, bath with shower, full kitchen, hardwood floors, well, electric, oil heat, water softener, metal roof, built on a cement slab. Large shed and large parking area. The lane off the road is about 900 feet. I set the cabin off the road for privacy. The septic system is large enough to handle 3 cabins. We have approximately 25 acres with about 400 feet of road frontage. There are several acres of White Spruce trees and the rest is mixed forest with a stream running through. The cabin is on a well maintained dirt / black top road about 2 miles from the town of Patten and close to the north entrance of Baxter State Park. Patten is about 85 miles north of Bangor and about 270 miles north of the southern Maine border. You can hunt and snowmobile right from camp. Except for a few personal items everything that is in the cabin and shed will remain. I have used this cabin for our personal vacations and as a successful vacation rental. Weather or or not you continue renting the cabin is up to you. You can see pictures at: mainecabin.com. I am asking $104,000.00.
If you have an interest in buying land / cabin but do not want to buy all the land and the cabin I will consider other options. Maybe you would like to buy a small piece along the road for your own cabin? Maybe you would like to buy the cabin but not all of the land? If you have any ideas let me know.
